Frequently Asked Dental Questions – Phoenix, AZ
Helping Our Patients Learn About Dentistry?
Are you not sure what to do when your teeth are hurting? When should you schedule your next dental appointment? Will we take your dental insurance? All of these are questions that might be on your mind when it comes to our dental office. We’re more than happy to answer your questions during your regular appointments, and you can always call our dental office to speak to one of our helpful team members. Check the FAQs below to find the answers to some of the most common questions we get.
When Should I Schedule My Next Dental Appointment?
You should schedule a dental checkup and cleaning every six months to protect your smile from cavities and gum disease. We highly recommend that you call our dental office immediately if you notice bleeding gums, persistent tooth pain, and other symptoms that can point towards dental emergencies.
What Should I Do If I Have a Toothache?
Try flossing around the tooth to remove any bits of food that have gotten caught in your smile. Over the counter medications like ibuprofen can help make the pain more manageable; it may also help to hold a cold compress over the area. Call our dental office for tooth pain that doesn’t go away after a day or two; chances are it’s the result of an infection that needs to be treated as soon as possible.
Do You See Children?
Yes! We love working with patients of all ages, and we enjoy the chance to teach little ones more about taking care of their teeth. You can schedule a checkup for your child on the same day as your own appointment so that you don’t spend too much time driving to different dental offices on different days.
How Long Will It Take to Get a Dental Crown?
At our dental office, it only takes one visit to get a dental crown thanks to our state-of-the-art CEREC system. After we prepare and scan your tooth, a one-of-a-kind crown is created by a special milling machine, then placed on your tooth as soon as we’ve made any necessary last-minute adjustments.
Do You Place Dental Implants?
Yes, we are able to place dental implants in-house, letting you enjoy the advantages of new teeth with sturdy, reliable roots without having to see an unfamiliar specialist. If you visit our dental office for a dental implant consultation, we can outline the dental implant process for you and determine if you’re a candidate.
What Can I Do About Stained Teeth?
Both extrinsic and intrinsic stains can be removed with professional teeth whitening treatments. Discoloration that doesn’t respond to normal whitening can be hidden with veneers or direct bonding. We can figure out which cosmetic treatment is right for you during a consultation.
Will You Take My Insurance?
We are currently in-network with MetLife, Cigna, and Delta Dental, and we happily accept most other PPO plans as well. Call us today with your insurance information to learn more about the savings that you can enjoy at our dental office.
